Behaviour Support Basics

This workshop is designed to give basic information to those who support autistic children in a childcare setting.  Indicators of autism and common behaviours will be discussed as well as information and assessment considerations.  Participants will be able to identify effective support strategies and how to facilitate inclusion within an early childcare setting.

Instructor: Lindsay Parrott

Lindsay Parrott is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who has been supporting autistic individuals, ages 21 months to 23 years old, for over 15 years.  Lindsay has experience designing skill building programming and behaviour support plans to address challenging behaviours in home, school and community settings.  She holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of British Columbia.  In addition she works with AutismBC to hold Behaviour Interventionist (BI) training workshops throughout the year.
