Illuminate Play is an experiential workshop inviting participants to play and explore the spectrum of possibilities for using light in early learning with children from infancy through middle childhood. Participants will engage hands-on with a broad variety of light sources and materials that will spark imagination, collaboration, and creation that will have tangible and practical applications from provocations to illuminating storytelling. This highly participatory workshop pulls from the wisdom in the room through engaging collaborative activities for the co-creation of new learning.

 Katelyn Moon is an early childhood educator with a master’s in health leadership. Her career is at the intersection of health, education, and justice and she has a passion for equity and play. Katelyn teaches with an experiential approach and honours the wisdom in the room brought by participants.
