Diane Braun - Coordinator
Diane completed a diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2003. She has had many years of experience working in various child care settings including group Infant/Toddler and Registered License not Required care. She has developed an expansive working knowledge of community-based programs, community support service systems, applicable legislation and policies and the issues surrounding child care in BC while working at Chilliwack Community Services since 2016. Diane has been the coordinator of the Child Care Resource and Referral program in Chilliwack since 2020 and was excited to be able to expand services to the Fraser Cascade area in 2024. Diane is currently pursuing a degree in Child and Youth Care while balancing the demands of parenting her three teenagers.
Nicole Good - Consultant
Nicole has worked for the Child Care Resource & Referral since 2006. She has her Early Childhood Education and has worked in both group and family daycares. During her time at the CCRR she has had the privilege of working with many Child Care Providers and families and looks forward to continuing to do so. She has five grown children and is looking forward to becoming a grandma in November. When not at work you can find her out on the trails with her three dogs or curled up somewhere with a good book.
Barbra McLean - Consultant
Barbra has been a CCRR Consultant since 2019. She brings with her 24 years of experience working with children and families as an Early Childhood Educator, childcare owner/director and mother of three amazing humans. Her passion is in sharing and teaching the knowledge she has gained over the years while growing and inspiring the childcare community. She strives to balance life and work within her values of love, compassion, and kindness.
Julia Treit - Consultant
Julia has been a CCRR Consultant in Chilliwack since June 2024 and is motivated to contribute to the wellbeing of the community. With her Master of Education and German language, extended Diploma in Intercultural Pedagogy, and varied experience in different social environments, she is equipped to support adults and children in a professional way. Julia just finished the Mother Goose training to expand her practical skills, and she is currently leading the drop-in group at the Paramount. She has two wonderful children, one is school aged, the other a preschooler, so you might find Julia crafting, exploring, or biking with her family.
Manjot Kaur - Consultant
Manjot has finished her certificate in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a Child and Youth Care Bachelor’s Degree with a Child Protection specialization, aiming to become a clinical counselor. With over five years of experience working with children in different settings, including preschool, before and after school programs, providing support in a hospital setting, and at a sports club for youth, she believes every child is unique and deserves respect for their rights. These five years have made her realize how much of a difference you can make in someone’s life just by being there for them and being their voice. This extensive experience has fueled her motivation to deepen her understanding in this field and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. Manjot is committed to fostering growth and stability in children’s lives through empathic support and effective communication.
Amber Lyndon - Consultant
Amber has completed post-secondary education in Professional Counselling, Recreation Management, and Early Childhood Education, with a philosophical focus on ‘Play’ in various pedagogies and the critical importance it has on a child’s learning and health. After 32 years in municipal roles, Amber decided to follow her personal dream of opening the Little Woodland Academy, a preschool in Abbotsford. Amber now hopes to utilize her expertise to assist childcare providers in reaching their maximum potential, as well as to connect families in building support networks through the abundance of ECE resources available to them. Some of her specialties include Program & Curriculum Development, Risk and Safety Management, Staff Supervision & Training, and Workshop Facilitation. Amber loves being a resident in Chilliwack along with her husband, child, and very bossy Yorkshire Terrier.
